Soft brushed cotton plaid in blue, cream and burgundy, the kind of shirt that looks good buttoned up or thrown over a tee. The little red pony sits on the chest, classic Ralph Lauren detail.

Classic fit so it's got a bit of room through the body, not boxy but not slim either. Wear it open over a white tee with jeans, or buttoned up with the sleeves rolled for a more put together look.

Gently worn with no stains, holes or rips that I can see, just soft from washing. Button down collar, full button front, standard cuffs.

How we measure

Laid flat on a table, never stretched, tape straight across.
Pit to pit is armpit seam to armpit seam; double it for the chest. Length runs from the top of the collar seam to the hem.
Waist is across the top of the waistband, doubled; inseam runs crotch seam to hem. Allow about half an inch either way.
