Classic seersucker chino shorts from Polo by Ralph Lauren in the puckered blue and white stripe fabric that defines this style. Also called Bermuda shorts or preppy summer shorts, cut in 100% cotton with a flat front, belt loops and the signature RL crest snaps on the back besom pockets.

A relaxed regular fit through the hip and thigh, easy in the waist, built for country club weekends, golf outings or just kicking around in summer heat. Reads classic prep school and Nantucket style. Pair with a plain polo and boat shoes for the full effect.

How we measure

Laid flat on a table, never stretched, tape straight across.
Pit to pit is armpit seam to armpit seam; double it for the chest. Length runs from the top of the collar seam to the hem.
Waist is across the top of the waistband, doubled; inseam runs crotch seam to hem. Allow about half an inch either way.
